Hi and sorry for the delay. All of our computers are using the latest version of Chrome and each computer is connected to a Windows Network environment, so we receive internet directly from a WatchGuard firewall. Some users when they log on using their credentials works fine, but others don't and if those users try to open the same website with Internet Explorer works fine, but not with Chrome.

Could you give us a net-internals log from a machine where you are seeing this problem? Instructions for generating a log can be found here: https://sites.google.com/a/chromium.org/dev/for-testers/providing-network-details

Hi and thanks for replying. Please find attached the net-internals log.

Thanks for the log. Unfortunately, it doesn't contain any events that indicate that there was an authentication challenge. Did you encounter a prompt for credentials while you were collecting the log? Specifically, what I'm looking for is a log of the network level authentication handshake so that we can figure out what's going wrong. There would be such a handshake if you were presented with a user/name password prompt while trying to access a website. Also, when you say "some users when they log on using their credentials", do you mean entering their log on credentials into the prompt that comes up when they are trying to access a website?

It did not show me any prompt for credentials while I was collecting the log. Every computer in our school uses Windows 7 Professional so each user have their own username and password to login into Windows when they want to use a computer because each computer is connected to a Windows Domain Controller. Some users who uses the same computer are able to go into that webpage, but others cannot.

What error do you see when it fails? If there were no authentication handshakes in the log and there were no prompts for credentials, this sounds a lot like a configuration issue. For the users who are successfully accessing websites, are they consistently able to do so? For the others, are they consistently unable to do so?

I did not receive any error when I was collecting the log. I was under my administrator account, maybe this is why it did not ask me for a credential. I reinstalled Chrome again in some of the computers where I was having the problems and some users who had this issue are now able to go to this website, but others are not able to see this website. When they use Internet Explorer works correctly.

Would it be possible to get a net-internals log from a machine/user-account that's unable to access the resource?

manuel.wachsmann: Could you please respond to comment #8, and provide a log where Chrome is giving an error? If not, we'll have to just close the bug, as we have no way to make progress. Thanks!
