Curiously, if I visit google maps, the screen visibly brightens, but only in the maps window, but any attempt to record the transition to AVI failed to show the difference when played back, so there's no point posting it. :(

Just checked my home PC, and the issue isn't visible in: Version 58.0.3017.0 canary (64-bit)

Though just uninstalled 32bit on this PC and installed 3017 64bit, and it's exhibiting the same discolouring.

Seeing this on home PC, is a complete different issue to original poster, sorry for any confusion, 694191 is more applicable to the issue I'm seeing.

Duping to issue 654488 -- full color awareness is just around the corner, at which point we will rasterize correctly to each monitor.

The duped issue is marked as fixed... do you have an alternate issue to track full color awareness?
