Acer Chromebook doesn't update to Chrome OS 56

Go to check for updates and apply 2. 3. What is the expected behavior? As advised here https://chromereleases.googleblog.com/ the chromebook should update to Chrome OS 56.0.2924.87 at least. What went wrong? Chromebook after check says software is up to date (but is left at 55). Did this work before? Found on Omahaproxy page that current version for CB5-311 is the 55, while 57 beta and 58 dev. So it seems OK that it skips the 56 stable (no idea why).

I also can confirm that CB5-311 are NOT being updated as it should. It's now 14 days after the update was released for ALL chromebooks, so there must be something wrong.
