Chrome relegated OV certificates to DV

Reported by ad...@hive.systems, Feb 13 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.87 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. click on the key in the addressbar
2. chrome open a website from Google
3. it's not possible to check the certificate details

What is the expected behavior?
Show the certificate data.
The differ from OV to DV certificates are the details in the certificates himself. Here you can check the Owner from the certificate and the website.

What went wrong?
In the newest version of Chrome it's impossible for a normal user to show the certifcate data. This behavior of Chrome degrades an OV certificate to DV.

Did this work before? Yes 55

Chrome version: 56.0.2924.87 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0

Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)
adnae@, thanks for reporting! Though this is not a security regression but a design decision. If you want to view the certificate, you can go to developer tools and click on the "security" tab.

Close this issue as work as intended.
