HTTPS connection not visible (hidden) for downloads. Cannot see if secure downloaded or not.

Reported by therealm...@gmail.com, Feb 13 2017

Issue description

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Download a binary of your choice with https connection on your phone.
2. Check notification while downloading.
3. Check "download" menu while and after downloading.

What is the expected behavior?
1. I can see the url of the download somewhere
2. I can at least verify that download was over secure https connection (encrypted)

What went wrong?
It's totally unclear if download was done with http or https. It's hidden for the user. You can see in the attached screenshots that binaries are downloaded but I cannot verify that they where downloaded over https.

Did this work before? No

Chrome version: 57.0.2987.38 Channel: beta
OS Version: Android 7.1.1
Flash Version:

I can see download source on desktop Chrome.

Jon, do we have any plan to differentiate https download from http in UI?

No we don't today. It's a good idea to think about how we could reinforce the download is HTTPS since it could be different than the site. Unfortunately, there is no natural UI affordance to do this in DH today, so we will need to run this through UX and come up with a plan. I will keep this assigned to me to take a look at.
