Safari 5: NOT TESTED
Firefox 4.x: OK

What happens instead of that?
It will display "Failed - Network error"

The server is returning an incomplete HTTP chunked response (ERR_INCOMPLETE_CHUNKED_ENCODING). Firefox is more permissive and allows the (possibly truncated response) whereas Chrome fails. If the printer's HTTP server is buggy and cannot be fixed, you may need to continue using Firefox to download this data (as Chrome's policy around this is unlikely to change).
