When in "Mobile-friendly view", rotating to landscape mode leaves the view

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Navigate to http://daringfireball.net/
2. Turn on the "mobile-friendly view" (touch on "Make page mobile-friendly")
3. Rotate to landscape mode

What is the expected result?

I'm still on the mobile-friendly view

What happens instead of that?

I'm back on the regular web page.
