On Android 7 the WebView implementation is provided by Chrome by default, to save bandwidth and disk space updating two copies of the rendering engine. If an app is directing you to update WebView, then the app is wrong: you should update Chrome instead. If updating Chrome isn't enough to make it work, then the app is also checking your WebView version incorrectly and the app developer needs to fix it.

See https://developer.android.com/about/versions/nougat/android-7.0.html#webview

The paytm app page on the Play Store actually specifically says to update Chrome instead on Android 7.0 - see the beginning of the app description on https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.one97.payt

You mention version 54.0.2840.85 in your report - that's not the latest version. You need to update Chrome to version 55, which is the current release.
