This is because you've got multiple Timeline / Performance panels opened with different DevTools front-end URLs within one browser (e.g. a local and remote DevTools, or two remote DevTools against backends of different versions), so the work-around is to close both of them and then open just one. The check that caused this error is currently removed (https://codereview.chromium.org/2604733002), but stable still has it. See also https://codereview.chromium.org/2543343002 that fixes a related problem. |
