Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:43.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/43.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: <select name="foo" onfocus="this.blur();"><option>1</option><option>2</option></select> What is the expected behavior? The user should not be able to open the select box. What went wrong? The user can expand the select box and select any of the options. Did this work before? No Chrome version: <Copy from: 'about:version'> Channel: n/a OS Version: Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202 **IMPORTANT**: I had opened a bug (685955) for the same issue a few days ago, but it was closed/wontfix (IMHO not very politely). It was basically closed with the reason that that's how all browsers are working, so they closed the bug. That's not true and I mentioned this at my initial post. Firefox has acknowledged this bug (that was introduced to recent versions) and have now fixed it (milestone for a later version). Please see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1334155 for more info (open bug 1334155, status=RESOLVED FIXED). I think you should reconsider it.

Able to reproduce this issue on Windows 10, ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.12.3 with chrome #55.0.2883.87 and in earlier chrome version #30.0.1549.0. Observed that in earlier version also user can expand the select box and select any of the options. Attaching a screen-cast for reference This is a non-regression issue, marking it as untriaged.
