Unable to delete email in Gmail

Reproduction Steps: 
1. Enable ChromeVox Next.
2. Open Gmail (basic Html view).
3. Navigate to checkboxes in inbox and select one or more check boxes of emails.
4. Navigate to "delete" button and press enter.

Observed behavior: Page refreshes but the emails are not deleted but the checked checkboxes are unchecked.

1. Did this work in Classic and regressed in ChromeVox Next?
2. I attempted to repro/verify, but couldn't figure out how to switch from Gmail Standard to Basic--Standard Gmail delete email works fine
