Re-uploading a CL after changing the CL description online fails |
|||
Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce: 1) I uploaded a CL with R=XXX@chromium.org 2) Change the CL description online, keep the line R=XXX@chromium.org in the description. 3) Make changes to the CL locally and try to upload it again. I would expect that the CL is uploaded just fine. Instead I get a [remote rejected]: (user "XXX@chromium.org" not found) The reason is that the CL description was downloaded with "R=<200b>XXX@chromium.org" instead of "R=XXX@chromium.org", but the user "R=<200b>XXX@chromium.org" does not exist.

ahaas@ thanks for reporting! I've already landed a workaround in git cl to make it filter out <200b> crap. The rest is handled in internal bug b/34702620

tandrii: since you filed the workaround, I'm assigning this issue to you. Feel free to close it if you think the workaround is sufficient, or leave it open until the internal bug gets closed.
