Chrome Version: Chrome Beta 57.0.2987.35
OS: Android N
Devices: Pixel, Pixel XL
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Chrome Beta
2. Install "CCTClient.apk" from drive folder https://drive.google.com/corp/drive/u/0/folders/0B4IaoiF9wc9qfmM1eXZhOHlubkR6elp3czc2aExZd25SMzg0UnVfMDF4UTM3QVZzMmVIRG8
3. Reboot device
4. Run CCTClient.apk:
- type "https://webvr.info/samples" in the url field
- select "com.chrome.beta" in the "Package" dropdown list
- tap "Connect to the service" button
- tap "Launch URL in a Chrome Custom Tab"
=> "WebVR -Samples" page should be opened in the Custom Tab
5. Click "03 - VR Presentation" link
Expected result:
WebVR sample page should be loaded without any errors.
Actual result:
"WebVR supported, but no VRDisplays found" error message appears. Buttons "Enter VR", "Reset pose" are absent.
Issue is reproducible for both Daydream and Cardboard viewers.
Step 3 is required to make sure that Chrome wasn't running on this device before we start CCTClient.apk
If to omit that step, run Chrome and close it after that, then error on the sample page most probably will be "requestPresent failed. Presentation request was denied."
