[Label Request] Fixit-Privacy |
||||||
Issue description1] Label Name: Fixit-Privacy 2] Parent Label (e.g. Proj-, Hotlist-, etc...): Fixit- 3] Description of Label: Small-scale privacy-related fixes and improvements. More verbose description: This list will capture privacy-related feature requests and bugfixes which are quickly actionable for privacy engineers to take as a side project; this is to be distinguished from Component>Privacy which captures features maintained by the privacy team and issues containing privacy discussions. 4] Please specify what triage practices will be followed for the label: At this moment, the label is supposed to introduce better granularity to bugs that are often just marked as Component>Privacy today and will not have a regular triage yet. Once the list grows, the privacy team would introduce a rotation to handle these bugs.

Sounds good! Let me then close this for now and I'll wait for the announcement :)

Well, it turns out that the Hotlist feature does not have the effect I wanted it to have, since it's quite well hidden. I'd prefer to have better exposure, not only among members of the team, but also other Chromies who would want to help in general. Therefore, I'd like to return to the original proposal to create a label; with a slight adjustment to name it "Fixit-Privacy", as I think "hotlist" implies a sense of urgency that these bugs won't necessarily have.

I've created a label for Hotlist-Privacy. Absent a broader purpose, I can't justify creating a new label namespace (parent tree) for Fixit at this time.

My inspiration came from Fixit-Net, but now I see that it's not officially listed. But this is fine anyway, Hotlist seems to be more common. Thanks! |
