UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.21 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to any page with a <input type=text>, e.g. https://www.wufoo.com/html5/types/9-text.html
2. Select text on that site with the mouse
3. Press the middle mouse button in the text field
3.
What is the expected behavior?
Selected text is pasted into text field
What went wrong?
Text field stays empty
Did this work before? Yes previous chrome version on my machine (don’t know exactly unfortunately)
Chrome version: 57.0.2987.21 Channel: n/a
OS Version: Goobuntu
Flash Version:
Selected text is copied to clipboard, i.e. I can paste in other applications.
I can also select text from other applications and then press middle mouse on the chrome text input (Note this only work if the field already has focus).
So I’m guessing, the source for is the issue is that the copied text is cleared when the focus is set to the text input (which one could view as selecting nothing in that field).
