Regression: [MD Settings] "No search results found" message doesn't display on Settings page.

Issue descriptionChrome Version: 58.0.3004.3 (Official Build)748a9b8eaae6a2a2d9870544166f8adf670b7a80-refs/branch-heads/3004@{#4} 32/64-bit. OS: Windows(7,8,10),Mac(10.12.1, 10.11.6, 10.12),Linux 14.04. What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch chrome and go to chrome://md-settings page.(By default focus will be on search settings text box) 2. Now, 3-4 times press 'Space' key from keyboard and observe the 'Settings' page. Nothing happens on pressing 'Space' key from keyboard. "No search results found" message should display on pressing 'Space' key. This is a regression issue, broken in M-56 series, below is manual regression range. Good build: 56.0.2909.0 Bad build: 56.0.2910.0 Kindly review the attached screen-cast for reference.

Leading spaces are ignored from search. When you start typing anything other than spaces, the "no results" messages is shown properly, see screencast. |
