Able to reproduce the issue on the latest M-58(58.0.3004.0) on Linux Ubuntu 14.04. Worked fine for me on Mac OS 10.12.2 using chrome version: 58.0.3004.0

Using the per-revision bisect providing the bisect results,
Good build: 58.0.3001.0 (Revision: 447896).
Bad build: 58.0.3002.0 (Revision: 448123).

You are probably looking for a change made after 448004 (known good), but no later than 448005 (first known bad).

Note : Not able to reproduce the issue in Win 10.0 and Mac 10.12.2.
Font is so weird and appears very light, that it seems like content is missing.

ethannicholas@, Thank you for creating a revert. Can you please merge this revert to '3004' branch once it's landed in trunk? since i'm preparing a back-up build from the same branch for tomorrow's Dev release just in case tonight's canary has some last minute issues.

PS: You do not need to follow any 'merge-approval' process since 3004 is yet to be branched officially.

Thank you!
I haven't been able to reproduce this yet. What GPUs are people seeing this problem on? Does it *only* occur in Google Sheets?
Here is the chrome://gpu, where i'm reproducing this issue on one of the google sheets.

Thank you!
