Regression: Incorrect overlay is seen on clicking Next option in sign-in overlay.

Issue descriptionChrome Version: 58.0.3004.0 (Official Build) 604a36b20d9ffe65380031f3f708d859d81f71be-refs/heads/master@{#448183} (64-bit) OS: Windows(7,8,8.1,10), Linux (14.04 LTS) Steps to reproduce: 1. Freshly install and launch chrome, on chrome://welcome web page click on Sign in button go to more options and create account. 2. Enter data in name field, click on NEXT option and observe. Actual Result: Verify Phone Number overlay is seen on clicking next option. Expected Result: Basic Information overlay should be seen. This is regression issue broken in 'M 58' and will soon update the bisect info. Manual Bisect Info: Good Build 58.0.3001.0 Bad Build 58.0.3002.0 Note: Issue is not reproducible in MAC.

I can see the same behavior on a build without my CL. I suspect that this is because of some change in gaia UI, not Chrome. +Achuith who knows more about sign in screens.

Yeah, this is WAI. This entire flow is served by GAIA, so it's not tied to any specific Chrome version. I'm sure the GAIA page is doing some detection about whether it should ask you for a phone number. Closing this out as WontFix. |
