can't install Extensions from official chrome webstore

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.75 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/ 2. try to install any Extension What is the expected behavior? the Extension will be installed in 1-5 seconds. What went wrong? the Extension will NOT be installed. It says: An error has occurred Installation is not enabled. RELOAD -> see screenshot CLOSE WebStore page: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/office-online/ndjpnladcallmjemlbaebfadecfhkepb Did this work before? Yes Idon't know.. Chrome version: 55.0.2883.75 Channel: n/a OS Version: Debian Kali Linux Rolling (64-bit) Flash Version: not installed

Can confirm this behaviour. Chromium does not install any extension from webstore and does not load any previously installed extensions. The »extension« under »more tools« menu is greyed out and not clickable. chrome://extensions/ shows only the internal extensions as Bookmark Manager 0.1, Chromium PDF Viewer 1 and CryptoTokenExtension 0.9.38 but no own extension. User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.75 Safari/537.36 Debian 9 4.9.0-1-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 4.9.2-2 (2017-01-12) i686 GNU/Linux

Installed 56.0.2924.76 form the Debian sid repo and started it with a new profile: Extensions will not installed.
