Can't reproduce this with the repro case using chrome 57 (linux).

I can repro this in 56.0.2924.87 (linux) but not 58.0.3011.0 (linux). Seems to be fixed.

56 is stable. Requesting reverse bisect to determine when this was fixed and if the patch was considered for merging to 56.
