I was able to reproduce the issue on the reported version: 58.0.3000.5 Windows 10 and got the crash id(290178d580000000). However the same worked fine on the latest canary(58.0.3006.0) and no hang as such was seen. Therefore, removing the blocker label.

yfulgaonkar@: Could you please confirm if the issue is still seen on the latest canary as well. Add the blocker label back if this still happens or close if this doesn't repro.

Rechecked above issue on latest canary build (58.0.3007.0) in Win 7 & Win 10 machines and issue is not reproducible. After cancelling the 'Print preview', everything works as expected on gmail page and page does not go unresponsive. It is working as intended.
