Issue exists with "Open a specific page or set of pages" setting. Pinning that tab and then with "Use current pages" setting the issue should reproduce (did here in 58.3000.4).

Tested on windows 7 using chrome latest canary M58 #58.0.3003.0 and issue is not reprodcued.

Steps followed to repro :

1. pinned a tab and set the chrome :// setting , on start up to "Open a specific page or set of pages " and closed the browser and reopened.
2. Didn't observe any duplicate full tab.

Attached screencast for reference.

@joe8618-- Could you please provide us the screencast of the issue along with your machine configuration details, that would help us in traiging the issue better.

Thanks!

Thank you for your assistance. On a hunch, I ran Chrome in Windows 7 compatibility mode and the issue is resolved. Obviously a Windows 10 (x64 here) issue and could be a problem if it bleeds down into the stable channel. Workaround is fine here and feel free to close this one if desired.

As per comment #5, Closing the issue and please feel free to raise a new issue in future if you have any issues in latest chrome channels.

Thanks!
