Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Visit bookmarks.google.com 2. None of our bookmarks in chrome are there 3. What is the expected behavior? That both bookmarks should be in sync when signed into chrome and signed into google account in the browser with the same id. If different ids are used, changes done in bookmarks.google.com should also reflect in devices where chrome is signed in with the this account. You get what I am saying What went wrong? Both are independent of each other. The favourite map locations appear in bookmarks.google.com If that is the actual purpose, it should not be called google bookmarks as it is misleading Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 55.0.2883.87 Channel: stable OS Version: 14.04 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0

Pavel pointed out that Eli probably makes more sense.

I didn't even know bookmarks.google.com existed. I have no idea who the feature owner for that page is, but this is more of a request on the bookmarks team than the sync team. This also sounds similar to what Stars was trying to do, which ended up not launching...maybe bookmarks.google.com is a remnant of Stars. Adding in some folks who might know how to route this request and might know whether bookmarks.google.com is a remnant of Stars (in which case we can probably mark this as WontFix, since it's not being actively developed).

It's a remanent of Google Toolbar bookmarks. ewald, I can give you the history offline. There was a migration plan but I don't think it got done.

This not something we're planning on integrating with in the foreseeable future. |
