Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to www.æble.dk 2. Right click the address and copy URL 3. Paste it somewhere What is the expected behavior? Unicode should be pasted What went wrong? Punycode is pasted Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 55.0.2883.87 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 I found several old issues regarding this problem (ex. https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=4008). The issue is marked as fixed, but I guess it doesn't work anymore. Our company runs a large IDN website and we get several mails every day from users, asking if our URL is broken. There is no problem in either edge or firefox when copying URL addresses. Being the best browser available, this issue should definitely be solved.

pkasting@, This sounds like bug 70598. My last inquiry to jshin@ about its status and what our current policies are went unanswered. Do you have any idea on the status, and do you think this is a dup?
