It is the site of my university. So, it must be something relating to chrome or my computer's settings because other students can enter without problems. Any idea what could it be?

It looks like macOS treats the intermediate cert as revoked (StartCom Class 1 DV Server CA) which is why you are seeing this error on Mac.

You'll have to contact the site owner and ask them to get a new certificate. The CA that issued this certificate is in the process of being distrusted; please see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204132 and https://security.googleblog.com/2016/10/distrusting-wosign-and-startcom.html for more background.

One last question. StartCom appears in this list of trusted root certificates. It's not supposed I should work? Link: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207189
