Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.76 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Upgrade to chrome 56. 2. Typing something in omnibar. 3. See the result. What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? Bad kerning. Did this work before? Yes 55 Chrome version: 56.0.2924.76 Channel: stable OS Version: Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 Font kerning works well in web content, it's only broken in the browser ui. I set the default font to "Sans", in both the chrome settings and the gnome settings, and alias it to "Source Sans Pro" in fontconfig.

I can confirm this. Look at "Linux" and "Eden" as examples. The E-d and n-u are quite wrong. This was not an issue in 55.
