Save/Upload file dialog window takes time to open.

Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.76 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Close all Chrome browser windows 2. Open a new browser window 3. Navigate to any page where you can download a pdf/word/csv or any other downloadable file 4. Klick to download or rightclick and choose save target as. What is the expected behavior? A save file dialog should open immediatly. What went wrong? It takes a very long time (20 - 60 seconds) before the save file dialog opens. If you click several times (because nothing happens) you get several save dialog windows opening right after the fist one has finally opened. Did this work before? Yes Not sure Chrome version: 56.0.2924.76 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 Found another issue from 2011 when this problem ocurred, NO: 10373. It does not however ocurr on my main PC running the same verison of Chrome + the same version of Windows.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows-10, Windows-7,Mac-10.12.2 and Linux Ubuntu-14.04 using chrome stable version 56.0.2924.87 and canary 58.0.3017.0 with the steps mentioned in comment#0. Reporter@ Could you please upgrade the chrome to latest version and try in a clean profile without any extensions and let us know your observations if the issue still persists. Thanks..

This has been an ongoing issue reported by some people. Duping to that issue, which is believe to have multiple causes. A Chrome trace or ETW trace is needed in order to understand the specific reasons on your particular machine/profile setup - see 103737 for details. |
