http://superuser.com/questions/173200/how-to-select-hyperlink-text-in-google-chrome The ALT trick just grabs the whole page and moves it off the screen for me in Linux.

Attempting to copy text should always be able to be distinguished from other actions 1. Visit https://www.mail-archive.com/debian-bugs-dist@lists.debian.org/msg1514716.html 2. Attempt, with the mouse, to copy ONLY the words "Bug#861057" from the top left of the screen, no more, no less. 3. I propose that the Browser should be able to detect the user is trying to just copy those words, without the user needing to change his copying habits, despite the particular HTML on that page. Simple thinking on the Browsers part no matter if he sweeps in from the right or left might think he is trying to do something else. But all in all it still can be distinguished that he is trying to copy that exact area of text and not some different action. Version 58.0.3029.81 built on Debian 9.0, running on Debian 9.0 (64-bit)
