mash: Chrome crashing on login with mash enabled

Project Member Reported by sky@chromium.org, Jan 27 2017

Issue description

After switching to mash, powering off, powering on and logging in I'm not getting a browser window. Further trying to type in the quick_launch changes the title to 'QuickLaunch !! not responding !!'. The cursor is still flashing in the quick launch window though. I suspect this means chrome crashed, but I can't verify that. I can't seem to switch to the virtual terminal, perhaps because that requires chrome.

Yep, that sounds like Chrome has crashed. I was seeing similar behaviour off device last week occasionally but it seemed to go away on it's own.

I built and deployed from ToT this morning and I'm not getting a crash after logging in. If the problem still exists at ToT then maybe it has to do with:

1. Did you build chrome with dcheck_always_on=true?
2. Something in the account settings? Are there any extensions?

I had copied whatever image was available on Friday and used that. I'll try reimaging with latest and see if it goes away. Thanks.
