Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.76 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Visit certain websites, probably ones with lots and/or heavy images. What is the expected behavior? Smooth scrolling. What went wrong? On certain webpages, you can notice that when scrolling the browser stutters/slows down quite a bit. The best I can put it in technical terms, is as if normal scrolling speed runs at 60 FPS, and on websites that cause this problem, the scrolling speed runs at 30 FPS or something like that. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 56.0.2924.76 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 Here are a few example websites where I notice this happening: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/chrome http://stardewvalleywiki.com/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/ I've also tried the same webpages on other browsers. On Firefox and Edge, they all scroll smoothly. However, on Opera, the problem also happens, just like Chrome/Chromium. This led me to believe that maybe it might be a problem in the Blink engine, which both Chrome/Chromium and Opera share.

I'm not sure if this is indeed the same problem. I say this because if I try to open ibm.com on Opera, it works fine (when it doesn't on Chrome, just like that issue 686153 mentions). However, the issue I previously described, I could reproduce on both Chrome and Opera at the same time, on different websites. |
