With the margin-left:-100% style the right element is *intentionally* positioned on top of the links. This is working as intended and matching the authors intentions. Use z-index to position the links *above* the other element or, better yet, don't use negative margins.

Firefox, Edge, IE11, Opera Neon, and Safari (Windows) ALL allow the links to be clicked. Even with z-index applied the links are not clickable in Chrome. Chrome DOES allow the links to be clicked on this page, which is using the same column css: https://www.jeffhube.com/ I don't believe this is working as intended.

I've fixed the site to avoid this issue, so these pages can be used for testing: Doesn't work: https://www.jeffhube.com/tmp/fail.html Works: https://www.jeffhube.com/tmp/pass.html |
