Platform: 150.0.0 (Official Build) dev-channel samus
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Login to Chrome OS as user 1
2. Using fast user switch add user2
3. Now click on the user icon to switch back to the user1 and notice how the user1 is grayed out.
What is the expected behavior?
On the web, a grayed out icon/button is a button that is not clickable and a solid image is clickable and does something. In the above setup, when the user is user2 profile, user2's picture is solid (meaning currently selected), but user1's picture is grayed out (meaning not selected). Unfortunately, it sends the wrong impression: that user1's profile is not selectable.
What went wrong?
There is a a UI confusion: should the UI highlight the current profile and gray out the other profiles, or should it gray out the unclickable profile (i.e., current profile).

I think the UI used to be different before: I don't remember being this confused a little while ago. If I remember correctly, in the past, the UI showed only the current profile and clicking on it brought up a menu of other user accounts
