broken transparency in google search sponsored boxes

This seems a regression. It repros in 58.0.2990.0 but works fine in 55.0.2883.95.
OS: OSX

Repro:

1. Open https://www.google.com/search?q=celestion+12+frfr&oq=celestion+12+frfr&aqs=chrome..69i57.3294j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
2. It will show some sponsor boxes on the top. Hover one of them. It will shop a popup.

What should happen:
the popup should have solid white bg. 

What happens instad:
the popup has transparent bg. See attached screenshot.

The URL https://www.google.com/search?q=celestion+12+frfr&oq=celestion+12+frfr&aqs=chrome..69i57.3294j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 didn't trigger the shopping card for me when I visited.
When I searched instead for "shop for guitars" I saw the shopping cards as seen in the screenshot.

Unable to repro on Linux Chrome 56, 57 or 58.

Requesting test confirmation/bisect for Mac.

Somehow I am unable to reproduce the issue on the latest canary(58.0.2991.0) and the reported version(58.0.2990.0) on Mac Book Pro Retina OS 10.12.1 and Mac Book Air OS 10.12.2 using the URL from C#1. Attached is the screenshot of the same.

primiano@: Could you please confirm the Mac OS version where you are seeing the issue?

Status: WontFix (was: Unconfirmed)
OS was OSX 10.11.6
I just restarted my canary, that in the meantime did update to 58.0.2991.0, and can't repro anymore.
So whatever it was, has already been fixed.
Thanks for looking into this anyways.
