DevTools: arrays in console have strange wrapping

Chrome Version: 57.0.2985.0
OS: Windows 10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Enter this in the console:
console.log([1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9])

What is the expected result?
Result fits on one line

What happens instead?
Result wraps on multiple lines.  See attached screenshot

Seems to happen when there are 9+ items.  It can be fixed with non breaking spaces \u00a0
