Issue descriptionChrome Version : 55.0.2883.91 URLs (if applicable) :http://localhost:8088/ica-gallery/app-files/ OS version : Network (such as Cable/DSL/Dial up etc): Audio/Video format (if applicable):mp3 Special chrome flags (if applicable): Behavior in Safari (if known): Behavior in Firefox (if known): Audio issue: unable to render background sound on Chrome Version : 55.0.2883.91 While it plays fine on my desktop Chrome Version: 55.0.2883.87 HTML5 If the browser or renderer crashed (“Aw, Snap”), please add any crash IDs from chrome://crashes (possibly after enabling crash reporting per http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=96817) What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) include audio file in the background in html body <audio loop="loop" id="background_audio" autoplay="autoplay"><source src="Mozart.mp3"/></audio> (2)Try it on the different chrome versions mentioned above "55.0.2883.87" and "55.0.2883.91" What is the expected result? no sound on chrome version 55.0.2883.91 What is the actual result? Should play the requested file Any additional information (anything else which may help us debug the issue)? Please fix it as i have presentation... Please attach the HTML5/JavaScript code or audio/video files as well as screenshot and/or videos (if applicable)

http://localhost:8088/ica-gallery/app-files/ -> Test url is not working can you provide the URLs of some sites on which you experience this issue? This will help us reproduce what you are seeing.

@mlamouri you can use the index.html file and try it on both the chromium versions mentioned above i.e. 55.0.2883.87 and 55.0.2883.91 to reproduce this issue.

Unless I misunderstood the issue, this is trying to autoplay an audio file. We do not allow autoplay on Chrome Android. You must have a user gesture in order to initiate a playback. |
