Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Visit ANY site, e.g. http://www.google.com 2. Tap the main menu and check "Request Desktop site" 3. go to chrome://history (or tap the main menu and "History") What is the expected behavior? should display the history in the same way as usual. What went wrong? The layout is utterly broken, see attached screenshot. Note that the option "request desktop size" is not available from the menu when viewing chrome://history (or chrome://anything for that matter), nor should it, given that it makes no sense. So, the fact that it is/was enabled should be completely irrelevant and have no effect. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 55.0.2883.87 Channel: stable OS Version: 5.1 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0

Request desktop site is sticky for the tab; I suspect that this is a non-regression issue that has never worked correctly. This affects all chrome:// pages e.g. chrome://variations and chrome://flags. The other pages I checked are still usable, and given that we're replacing the old history webui in M58, I think it's probably low priority to fix this.

This issue has been Available for over a year. If it's no longer important or seems unlikely to be fixed, please consider closing it out. If it is important, please re-triage the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience if the bug really should have been left as Available. If you change it back, also remove the "Hotlist-Recharge-Cold" label. I think this is obsolete since the native history UI launched last year. |
