Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_2) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/56.0.2924.28 Safari/537.36 OPR/43.0.2442.21 (Edition beta) Steps to reproduce the problem: Check this example: http://codepen.io/pmkary/pen/bewWQj Or this page: http://kary.us/2017/01/17/what-the-future-is/ What is the expected behavior? What went wrong? CSS backgrounds sometimes don't work within Electron apps / Brave Browser (which is based on a custom Electron fork) and Opera Browser / Vivaldi Browser both of which are forks of Chromium so I though the root must be the chromium itself rather than Electron or Opera. I have attacked a picture of how the view goes wrong and links so you can test I hope that it helped. Did this work before? No Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 56.0.2924.28 Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.12.2 Flash Version:

Ran this test case in Chrome (55)/Opera/Firefox. Chrome and Opera behave the same. Firefox shows the braces.
