Query shouldn't slide in the omnibox on tab refocus |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue description57.0.2981.0 canary (64-bit) Here's a gif: https://screenshot.googleplex.com/QEewKvU5ogV.png 1. open 2 tabs 2. start a query in the first one (don't select it though) 3. switch to the second tab (I used one with the Dangerous verbose state) http://testsafebrowsing.appspot.com/ 4. switch back to the first tab Observed: The query slides left in the omnibox Expected: The query shouldn't need to move at all, it should just be in the position where I left it when I switched away.

(Mac-only) We spent a lot of time when this stuff was implemented for views making sure the implementation didn't suffer from this issue (and some related ones), and I was concerned that the Mac code did not adopt exactly the same structure. If possible, it would be nice for Mac to copy views closely.
