By Drive this user meant Files

I am specifically asking about Drive, not Files. Likewise, the user in the CBC post is referring to a Drive issue. One of the answers from libssd showed a screenshot of Files. That is NOT the issue. Open Drive, right click on a file. How do you set or change the default "open with" app?

Here is a new thread on CBC with the same issue - Kami was the app this time. https://productforums.google.com/forum/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=best_answer_notification_action#!topic/chromebook-central/S_elvp6sEbw;context-place=forum/chromebook-central

This regression has reappeared. I can confirm the behavior reported in this CBC post: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chromebook-central/ClHCNu7BzJo

This appears to be WAI. Comment #5 is correct, and reading the report there is no drop down menu option on the 'Open' button. This is because there is only one option - open the PDF in the browser which works correctly. On an ARC++ enabled device, installing an application that can read PDFs (like Acrobat) changes the behavior and the Open appears with the drop-down menu showing the different options and the 'change default' option as well. |
