Support richer proxy configuration

Project Member Reported by skyos...@chromium.org, Jan 16 2017

Issue description

Currently headless's --proxy-server flag only supports host:port instead of the richer options described here:

https://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/network-settings#TOC-Command-line-options-for-proxy-settings

Components: Internals>Headless

Upping priority to P2 since telemetry cannot use headless till this is resolved.

that issue stop us to move from phantomjs driver to headless chrome, cause we are using Linux CentOS as CI.
Could you tell when you plan to resolve it?
Thanks in advance

I'll be looking at it in the next few days. It should hit ToT in a few weeks, barring unforeseen problems, and be released in 61.

Sorry to keep you waiting.
@rvera, Would we get a socks5 proxy configuration ? We use it in our testing.

Comment 10 by rvera@google.com, Jul 10 2017

@moxin2017, yes. My intention is to use the code in proxy_config.h, just like full chrome does: https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/net/proxy/proxy_config.h?dr=CSs

Socks5 is even used there as an example in the comment to ParseFromString.

Left hand, meet right hand.

No progress for a while? Any plan of fixing it?
I've been able to use headless mode with a socks5 proxy (Chromium Version 65.0.3325.181)
Any progress on this issue? Setting --proxy-server="http=host:port" breaks in 67.0.3396.87
