Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. JSFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/mhk2c4by 2. OS: Windows 3. Open the fiddle in Chrome and then in Firefox 4. Also see the file attached What is the expected behavior? Font rendered normally. What went wrong? Note the difference in boldeness, Chrome renders this text way too bold. Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 55.0.2883.87 Channel: stable OS Version: 8.1 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0 Opera also has this issue, but Opera is based on Chromium, right? On Linux this problem doesn't occur. The tested font is Roboto, but I think it applies to all fonts, or at least web fonts. Michroma font which only has one weight looks really nasty in Windows-Chrome StackOverflow question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/41662491/font-roboto-appears-much-bolder-on-chrome-than-firefox-windowshttp://stackoverflow.com/questions/41662491/font-roboto-appears-much-bolder-on-chrome-than-firefox-windows

Unable to reproduce this issue on Windows-10 using chrome latest stable M55-55.0.2883.87 by following steps mentioned in the original comment. Observed both the fonts on firefox and chrome looks similar as shown in the below screen-shot. maciek@ - Are you able to reproduce this issue on chrome canary M57-57.0.2982 as well? Could you please recheck this issue by creating a new profile under chrome://settings with no apps or extensions in your browser, If issue still persists please let us know chrome://gpu details. Thanks!

Can confirm this issue as well - attaching gpu details and screenshot comparing freshly installed copies of Chrome (left), Firefox (middle) and Chromium (right).

Was able to fix issue by uninstalling Roboto Bold which had somehow made its way into my system fonts folder.

It looks like we haven't been able to reproduce this issue then. Can we close it? brajkumar@, do we give it 15 days after Needs-Feedback before we close?
