[Missing Tests]:Fix MediaPlayerRenderer --in-process-gpu crash

Automated tests for the below commit have been missing,since this a reproducible crash, wondering whether there a possibility of adding any tests to avoid regressions in future?

Status: WontFix (was: Assigned)
The crash happened as part of turning on a new feature for the first time, and being unaware of the '--in-process-gpu' flag. The original crash is unlikely to regress.

Adding some E2E MediaPlayerRenderer tests is something that is in the back of my mind, but I won't to get to it this quarter of the next.
