Intranet hosts not remembered |

Issue descriptionChrome Version: 56.0.2924.59 OS: Linux 3.13.0-100-generic What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Enter cs/foobar in omnibox, hit enter. (2) Chrome makes a web search, showing "Did you mean to go to http://cs/foobar". (3) Clink given link, go correctly to http://cs/foobar (4) Enter cs/foobar in omnibox, hit enter. What is the expected result? Automatically go to http://cs/foobar What happens instead? Same as in step (2). This is a regression since v. 55. This happens for several internal sites and is a big productivity loss. It is not entirely consistent: The suggestion sometimes doesn't even appear, for instance when there's a space in the part after the host, or sometimes when there are numbers. This also happens if I've already gone directly to cs/ (which works consistently). It also happens in incognito mode.

Definitely not bug 247848 , as that's about not showing the suggestion at all, not about not remembering the action taken in it. This sounds like go/omnibox-bug or a similar issue where the profile data is not read/updated correctly. Try the steps listed there. If they still don't work, then this is something we haven't seen before. |
