Yang, can you help finding someone on your team to take a look? Assuming you have this GPU in house.

linux_optional_gpu_tests_rel trybot is using old version(17.1.4) of mesa. This issue has been fixed by mesa (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/commit/f5859b45b1686e8116380d870f48432495fb19c7) and is okay since mesa 17.1.6.

Thank you Lin for identifying this. Filed Issue 916647 to deploy a "Linux Experimental Release (Intel HD 630)" bot on https://ci.chromium.org/p/chromium/g/chromium.gpu.fyi/console , which will be used to test the next version of Mesa before rolling it out to the rest of the fleet.

Sorry that I couldn't comment on issue 916647 directly (permission denied). Please hold the upgrade as conformance2/textures/misc/tex-3d-size-limit.html (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=104760) will hang the whole system with Mesa driver from at least Ubuntu 17.10 to 18.10. So I'm a bit hesitant now to suggest you upgrade the bots given this, and the overall benefit is not that big.
We're still cleaning up all rest issues on Linux.
Oh dear. Thanks Yang for telling us. Is there a released version of Mesa which you would recommend?

We'll still set up the experimental bot in order to test rollouts of new Mesa versions.

It's still an open issue, and Mesa team thinks it's a problem in kernel space (not a Mesa issue). If you're going to try new Ubuntu, please skip this case first.
