Issue descriptionChrome Version: 55 OS: ChromeOS Network: Aruba AP 225 - firmware 6.4.4.8-4.2.4.4 Aerohive AP’s (141, 170, 230,350). Device Model: Dell 11 Chromebooks Description: Enterprise customer is seeing Chromebooks drop from the wifi randomly... anywhere from 5 min to an hour after successful connection. Going through the logs I see a large amount of the following errors: log/messages:2017-01-03T08:28:50.671760-08:00 ERR p2p-client[14713]: last message repeated 19 times Which usually ends in: log/messages:2017-01-03T08:29:17.844929-08:00 ERR shill[1680]: [ERROR:active_link_monitor.cc(222)] Link monitor has reached the failure threshold with 5 broadcast failures and 0 unicast failures. and then... ERR shill[1680]: [ERROR:object_proxy.cc(582)] Failed to call method: fi.w1.wpa_supplicant1.Interface.Disconnect: object_path= /fi/w1/wpa_supplicant1/Interfaces/1: fi.w1.wpa_supplicant1.NotConnected: This interface is not connected It looks like p2p-client is flooding the wifi adapter causing the disconnect? (1) connect to wifi/SSID (2) randomly disconnects What is the expected result? stable wifi connection What happens instead? random disconnect

I see a few "skip - SSID mismatch" messages in the logs. Not sure if they are of any interest?

Has there been any updates on this issue? We have had a very high volumes of intermittent wifi issues on these devices. We have tried a powerwash, reloading via a thumb drive using the chrome OS recovery utility, the Dell proprietary RMA shim, non of which have resolved. Replacement WIFI cards have not seemed to correct either.

c#7: please provide a few feedback reports when the issue is encountered. WiFi drops can happen for a variety of reasons. The feedback reports will help us understand the issue better.

If this is of any help/interest: we had the same issue on Model Acer Chromebook 11 (C730 / C730E) Google Chrome Version 57.0.2987.123 Platform Version 9202.56.1 (Official Build) stable-channel gnawty Firmware Version Google_Gnawty.5216.239.34 Repaired by Acer Germany, LAN BD.WIRELESS.W/BT.7260.NGWG was defect. It is working again.
