Enterprise support feature request - allow enterprises to black list domains for password mgmt |
||||
Issue descriptionDescription: Allow enterprise domain admins to enforce password mgmt rules, specifically black or whitelist domains for which chromes password manager may be used. Use case: Some enterprises prohibit, by policy, the use of Chromes Password Manager to manage their domain passwords. Others may prohibit it's use for any work related domains or only allow certain sites. If this feature is added/enabled these policies will have a technical enforcement mechanism as well as a policy one. Motivation: Many users who inadvertently, or intentionally, store domain passwords in chrome either because they are not aware of the policy or choose to ignore it. The ability to enforce this policy has obvious benefits. Existing workarounds: Policy restrictions only, no technical enforcement appears possible.

Hotlist-Polish means "user facing" in the Passwords component. Marking as such to get it out of our triaging queue.

Marking as available but this is not on our roadmap. If somebody wants to implement this, we can certainly provide some guidance. |
