Hi Pramod,

Great find, thank you!!!

Just wondering - Once the sad tab is triggered, does it also crash inbox and safari's open windows?

No Crash is observed for safari and inbox after the sad tab error is seen in chrome.
An error page is displayed in safari browser with the above steps

Good progress.

Have we tried the same steps, on the same device (iPad mini), the same version of Chrome, still using VPN, but using US English locale? If this still gets to the "Aw Snap" page, I would remove the VPN and try one more time.

The goal here is to isolate whether this explains the "spike" in DE locale observed in the Sad Tab CPM computation.
Can we isolate this quickly so we don't lose the repro steps on an internet and ad network we don't control?

I tried same steps on my iPad mini with 9.3.5 ios. Chrome 55.0.2883.79 stable.
I am able to reproduce the issue with US English Locale.
Let me know if you need more info.
also., with English Locale and without VPN I can still reproduce this issue.
UI is a bit Google Images is UI is different for US and German, So I have to manually goto www.google.de and follow the rest of the steps.

Update: We are not able to reproduce the issue with other search queries on images.google.de domain or even with other images with the same search query. The issue may be specific to the image/website/.de domain.
Also noticed that the UI on images.google.de seems tobe older UI when compared to other tlds like google.ca, google.fr etc.

Issue is reproduced so far on iPad Pro 9.7" 10.1.1, iPhone6+ 10.1.1, iPad mini 9.3.5
