The link you are saving is a Google Search redirect link which is a HTML page before redirecting to the PDF. You can see it in the URL: https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwj3ovmZjb_RAhXLI8AKHbxxDCcQFggcMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww-bcf.usc.edu%2F~gareth%2FISL%2FISLR%2520Sixth%2520Printing.pdf&usg=AFQjCNHDi_pOZEzkA-GF61LnZMd7aSIF2A&sig2=8H5hfYlENESEQZ3MKGEW2g Rather than just: www-bcf.usc.edu/~gareth/ISL/ISLR%20Sixth%20Printing.pdf

if you can add this feature like if a intranet site has a file which is stored in network path. if we use that in website. save link as should fetch the file before it was working recently we can't able to store the intranet files. but in Internet Explorer it's working when we click save target as.

Did you say it used to work? Could you let us know which version it was working in. Also you say the same link on IE results in saving the PDF instead of the HTML file? Which version of IE is this. Thanks. |
