Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2883.87 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. open chrome://crashes 1. Get chrome into a state where every new tab shows up dark gray, and navigating to any page in such a new tab immediately crashes the tab (How? I wish I knew. But it happens pretty regularly.) 3. open a new tab, navigate to any page, watch the tab icon become a sad face (works in incognito mode too) 3. refresh chrome://crashes What is the expected behavior? I see a new crash in chrome://crashes What went wrong? I don't see a new crash listed. Crashed report ID: I wish How much crashed? Just one tab Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 55.0.2883.87 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 24.0 r0 The attached screenshot is a picture of what I see when I've gotten chrome into this state, and try to navigate to google.com in a new tab. Note that the four right-most tabs are gray-screened, and the one labeled "New Tab" hasn't had any navigation in it. Closing chrome doesn't fix the issue unless I also exit the background process. Opening incognito mode shows a gray screen without the usual "You've gone incognito" image. The only plugin enabled in incognito mode is Google Dictionary.

Thanks for the report. De-duping all of these into a bug with more details. |
