Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open the attached test case What is the expected behavior? 'top' of return values of getBoundingClientRect() for the following inline elements should be larger than the 'top' value for div#container: - #empty-span - #whitespace-span - #nonempty-span - #empty-div - #whitespace-div - #nonempty-div That is, all of these elements should be strictly below the top edge of the container element. What went wrong? The following elements (empty or only containing collapsed white spaces) have the same 'top' value as #container: - #empty-span - #whitespace-span - #empty-div - #whitespace-div Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 55.0.2883.95 (Official Build) (64 bit) Channel: stable OS Version: OS X 10.11 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0
